its a transgression of privacy to publish private facts about someone who has a acceptable assumption of privacy in them, and where the disclosure is extremely offensive to a reasonable person in the shoes of the plaintiff. There are defences of public interest and contact.

This law lets an owner of there work be in control of there work, and lets them decide on how they would like there work to be used or not.
Copyright is an automatic right and emerges whenever an individual or company creates a piece of work
examples:
A famous street artist shepherd fairey created the hope poster during obama's first run for presidential election in 2008. The design swiftly became a symbol for obama's campaign, technically self-sufficient of the campaign but with its approval. In january 2009, the photograph on which fairey allegedly based the design was revealed by the association press as one shot by AP freelancer mannie Garcia- with the AP demanding compensation for its use in fairey's work. Fairey responded with fair use, claiming his work didn't reduce the value of the original photograph.
Mannie Garcia got half of the profits that Fairey earns.
